Signature Styling is designed for clients who are happy to bring their design to life themselves, supported by expert guidance from The Living Studio. We help deliver a professional result, while keeping your costs down, by excluding architectural drawings, construction documentation, contractor coordination, procurement and project management.

How it Works - A Step By Step Guide
01 - Tell Us About Yourself
Share a few basic details through our short online form: who you are, your contact address, the room, its size and what you'd like to achieve. If we require any additional information we will reach out to you. No cost, no obligation.
02 - Receive Your Quote
We'll send a tailored quote within two - three working days, together with a projected schedule. To confirm your full consultation we include the invoice and payment instructions. Your project is secured once payment has been received.
03 - Complete Your Style Profile
Once your project is confirmed, you'll receive your Welcome Guide and personalised Signature Style Profile - ready for your photographs, videos and measurements and Pinterest board (if applicable).
04 - We Create Your Design
We develop your styling concept: colours, furniture, lighting, accessories, finishing touches and shopping recommendations. If further clarification is required we will arrange additional communication via email or online.
05 - Bring Your Space to Life
Your Signature Styling Book is delivered digitally, to implement at your own pace, with follow-up support provided by email. A printed and bound edition is available if you'd like one.

You'll complete a short online form telling us about your space. We'll review it and send you a personalised quote. If you'd like to go ahead, we'll confirm your project and send your Welcome Guide and Style Profile — and from there we begin your design.

No. Signature Styling is a fully online service, so we work with clients across the UK and internationally. It suits second homes and holiday properties particularly well, where getting a designer to the door isn't practical.

Exactly as it does for our UK clients. Your Style Profile, your Styling Book and your follow-up support are all delivered online, so distance makes no difference to the service.
The one thing we tailor is sourcing. We'll recommend retailers that deliver to your country, and we'll always tell you where a piece is coming from, so there are no surprises over shipping or customs. Quotes are issued in pounds sterling. [

Yes. As well as homes and holiday properties, we work with small businesses on studios, salons, clinics, offices and other workspaces. Commercial projects are quoted individually — get in touch and we'll talk it through.
Your project

To begin with, only a few details: the room, roughly how big it is, and what you'd like to achieve. Once your project is confirmed, we'll ask you to complete your Style Profile and share photographs, a short video and measurements of your space.

Your quote arrives within two working days, and includes a projected schedule for your project. Delivery times vary with the size of the job, so your schedule is calculated for your particular space — and the timeline begins once we receive your fully completed Style Profile, including your photographs and measurements. As a guide, most projects are delivered within [X] weeks of that point.

There's no rush, but we do ask for your completed Style Profile within six weeks of booking, so we can hold your place in the schedule. If life gets in the way, just let us know and we'll work something out. Projects left open for longer than six months are closed, and can be restarted for a small fee.

Your Welcome Guide includes clear instructions on how to measure, and we'll query anything that looks unusual before we begin. Because we design from the measurements you provide, they do need to be accurate — but if something doesn't fit once it arrives, do get in touch and we'll help you find an alternative.

Signature Styling is a design and guidance service. We don't order, purchase or arrange delivery of items on your behalf, manage returns, or liaise with contractors, and we don't provide structural or building advice. Prices and availability are set by the retailers, not by us, so they can change. Everything you need to make your decisions is in your Styling Book — the buying is yours to do, at your own pace.

Yes. Your Signature Styling Book is delivered digitally as a set of PDFs, which most clients keep on a phone or tablet while they shop. If you'd like a printed and bound edition alongside it, we can produce one for £[XX] and post it to you. Your digital copy stays exactly as it is, so you'll always have live links and current prices to hand.
Printed copies are made once your design is final, so do let us know before your revisions are complete. Because each one is produced specifically for you, printed editions can't be returned or refunded.

Booking And Payment

Your quote is held for 30 days. After that we're always happy to prepare a fresh one — prices and availability simply move on.

Yes. You have 14 days from booking to cancel and receive a refund. Because most clients would rather we made a start straight away, we'll ask you to confirm at the point of booking that you're happy for work to begin during that period — which means if you do cancel partway through, we'll refund you less a fair amount for the work already done. Once your Signature Styling Book has been delivered, the project is complete and the cancellation period no longer applies. This is all set out plainly in our Terms of Business.
